CORONAVIRUS

Friday, 1 March 2019

Following NHS England and Public Health England’s updates please continue to wear a face mask when attending the surgery

Please do not attend the surgery if you or someone in your household has a cough, cold, fever, vomiting or diarrhoea.

All face to face appointments have been converted to telephone appointments.
Please do not attend the surgery without phoning and speaking to one of the team first to ensure that this is necessary. You may be putting at risk yourself, family and other vulnerable patients, who may be in the surgery.

What about testing?
The surgery does not have any way of testing. This is something that is decided by Public Health England. Do not attend the surgery thinking that we might perform the test, we are unable to.
Public Health England states: “Testing for coronavirus is not needed if you’re staying at home”.

Important things to note:
-Where possible please request your repeat prescription via patient access. If you wish to come to the practice please place your repeat slip in the box which is in the porch of the practice, you do not need to come into the building.
-If you are asked to attend the surgery, bring a maximum of one person with you. Ideally, come alone if possible.
-Do NOT contact the surgery unless you absolutely need to. You maybe asked information about your health,  we are here to support and help our patients, however we can only do this with being open and honest.

The Surgery remains open in line with the advice from Public Health England.
